About Total Care Lawn and Garden L.L.C.

Autumn arrives fast up here. One cold night off the lake and the maples along Portage Trail let go all at once, and the lawns from the Northampton hills down toward the valley disappear under gold. Total Care Lawn and Garden L.L.C. spends those weeks in it — the last cuts of the year, leaves cleared and carried off, beds trimmed back and mulched, fertilizer and seed down so the turf comes up thick when the ground finally warms. The rest of the season keeps its own steady beat: mowing on schedule, trimming around mailbox posts and fence lines, edges run sharp along the walks. Nothing dresses a house like a kept lawn — lines even, borders crisp, the yard handed back at five looking better than it did at nine. It is a small pride, and it carries all the way from the riverbank to the ridge.
