About Jakes lawn and Tree Services
Some Hilliard streets were shaded long before the subdivisions found them, and mowing under those old maples means working in coins of light that shift all afternoon. Jakes lawn and Tree Services takes the yards that come with roots, fence lines and tight corners, trimming close where a deck post or a trunk gets in the way. The cut is kept a little high in July, when sun on Franklin County's flat land can cook a thin lawn inside a week. Come October the same shade turns into leaves, and the cleanups run until the branches are bare. It is ordinary work, and it makes a whole street look better one yard at a time.
