About Ice Eaters Snow Removal, Inc.

Three in the morning, an empty commercial lot on the north side, a clipper out of Alberta already dusting the light poles — this is the hour Ice Eaters Snow Removal, Inc. was named for. The trucks lay their passes in long overlapping lines, the walks get shoveled, and the spreader chases the ice into nothing before the first employee turns in at six. Central Ohio hands out its winter in fits: a dry January week, then four inches and a hard refreeze on Thursday. The answer is to keep watching the radar and keep the salt moving. A lot cleared down to black pavement at sunrise is what the whole night was for.
