Columbus sits on old glacial high ground, and Broad Street rides the long low ridge between the Scioto and Alum Creek — enough of a rise that a squall shows up as a gray wall before it ever lands. High Designs watches for that wall. When it arrives, the work is plowing, shoveling and de-icing until drives and walkways are open and the surfaces underneath are honest again. Clipper storms here can drop three inches and quit, or turn to sleet at midnight and set up like mortar, so the plan bends with the sky. What does not bend is the finish: cleared to the edges, treated where it counts, done before the morning needs it.
