Brubaker Maintenance and Snow Plows

About Brubaker Maintenance and Snow Plows

Snow coming down from the northwest crosses open farm ground before it ever reaches Groveport, and by the time it finds a driveway it is not falling so much as traveling sideways. Brubaker Maintenance and Snow Plows works that drift country southeast of the city — plowing drives and lots, cutting back the rows the wind builds across an exposed lane, shoveling walks, laying salt behind the blade. Out there a storm is not over when it stops; the wind keeps rearranging it for another full day. Coming back a second time, so the drive that was open at six is still open at noon, is what the work actually asks. A lane cut through a two-foot drift is a plain, honest thing to stand and look at.
