Dew hangs late on Clinton's east-facing yards, where the ground tilts down toward the Tuscarawas and the sun has to climb the ridge before it dries anything. Olis Lawns starts the day on the high, open lots and works downhill as the grass lets go of the water, because a mower cutting wet turf leaves a mess no amount of trimming can fix. The route is mowing, then trimming close along foundations and fence posts, then edging the walk and the drive so the yard has an outline. Sticks in April, leaves in October, and between them a steady week-to-week rhythm. A finished lawn should look like nobody hurried, even when the day ran long.
