About Wildwood Outdoor Services

Out at Wildwood the breakwall takes the north wind straight on, and in January the spray freezes onto the rocks while squalls run inland across the lakeshore streets. Wildwood Outdoor Services works those storms, plowing drives and lots, cutting through the packed ridge at the end of the apron, and keeping walkways passable between rounds. Wind is the real variable up here — snow moved at midnight can be back across a driveway by four in the morning, and the only answer is another pass. There is a particular quiet to that hour, the lake sounding somewhere past the trees and one plow working a street of dark houses. By the time the windows light up, the way out is already waiting.
