Ray's Snowplowing & Hauling

About Ray's Snowplowing & Hauling

North Collinwood sits directly in the path of the snow the lake throws inland, and some Februaries the flakes come sideways for three days without an apology. Ray's Snowplowing & Hauling meets that head on, plowing drives and lots along Waterloo and out toward Euclid Creek, pushing the banks back where they belong instead of letting them swallow the sidewalk. Hauling matters on this side of town, because on a narrow city lot there comes a point when snow has nowhere left to go and has to leave the property altogether. The finest hour of the job is the one before sunrise, when a whole street is white except for the black rectangles where the truck has been. That is the entire idea: get people out, keep them moving.
