Home Plow by Meyer

About Home Plow by Meyer

The pass that counts is the first one, cut down the middle of a driveway at an hour when Old Brooklyn is nothing but streetlight and falling snow. Home Plow by Meyer takes on snow removal at that scale, the residential drive and the apron the city plow just filled back in, the walk to the porch, the salt laid down before anything can set. Big Creek runs black between white banks below Ridge Road, and the neighborhoods above it wake to pavement instead of drifts. It is a small kind of pride and a durable one, opening the way out for a house that has somewhere to be. Cleveland and the towns south and west of it make up the winter's rounds.
