About Biggs services

Everyone on the east side knows the deal: the snow that dusts downtown can be a foot deep by the time it reaches Waterloo Road. Biggs services plows into that — driveways, walks and lots through Collinwood and out along the ridge, where the bands come off the lake and just keep going. Work starts when the radio says it will start, which is usually the middle of the night. Blade down, drive opened end to end, salt at the steps where the ice likes to sit. By the time the sun finds the storefronts, the cars are already out.
