Abraxus Snow and Ice Management

About Abraxus Snow and Ice Management

A thousand feet beneath Lake Erie, tunnels of rock salt run out under the water — Cleveland has always known what winter costs and where the cure comes from. Abraxus Snow and Ice Management works that math on the surface: plowing, hauling and ice control for the drives, lots and loading aprons that fold along the crooked bends of the Cuyahoga. Ice is the quiet part of the job, the film that forms after a thaw at Irishtown Bend and turns a good pavement treacherous by six. Treating ahead of it beats chipping at it later, so the routes go out on the forecast, not the aftermath. A lot that stays open through a three-day storm is the result worth naming.
