About Springfield Twp Services Road Department

When the forecast turns, the township road department is already loading salt. Springfield Twp Services Road Department clears the public streets through Finneytown, Mount Healthy and the neighborhoods off North Bend Road, plowing the lanes people use to get to work and treating the hills and curves that go slick first. Northern Hamilton County carries enough elevation change that one street can be merely wet while the next one over has turned to glass. Trucks run in shifts through the night so that morning finds the pavement passable and the school routes open. It is unshowy, necessary work, and the township counts on it going almost entirely unnoticed.
