About LawnScapes

Cincinnati's west side rises in ridges, and Mount Airy Forest sits on top of them like a green crown. LawnScapes works the streets that climb toward it, where a lawn can run flat for ten feet and then tilt straight into the hillside. In October the leaves come off those slopes before the rain glues them down, and by January the same driveways get plowed and salted while the sky is still the color of slate. There is a plain satisfaction in a hillside yard cut clean, the edge along the walk drawn straight as a chalk line. Snow or grass, the aim is the same — a property that looks tended, in a city that measures everything by how it sits on a hill.
