About Native Roots Sustainable Landscapes and Plant Market

In Clifton the gardens sleep hard through January — beds mulched, stems cut back, the whole thing under a plain white blanket. Native Roots Sustainable Landscapes and Plant Market spends those months clearing what the sky delivers: driveways plowed, walkways and steps shoveled, salt put down where ice takes hold. The hills around Mt. Storm and the streets below them freeze in their own particular order, and a route learns that order quickly. There is a quiet pleasure in being out at dawn with the city muffled and clean pavement appearing behind you. By the time the neighborhood is awake, the way out is already open.
