About Heartland Turf

Down where the Little Miami loosens into bottomland east of the city, the grass grows like it means it — thick by June, ankle-deep after a warm rain. Heartland Turf takes that on with mowing, trimming and steady upkeep through the long Ohio summer, when afternoons stack thunderheads over Anderson Township and the mowers get out ahead of them. There is a quiet pride in a lawn striped clean at seven in the evening, the cut edge crisp against the walk, cicadas going in the honey locusts. Fall brings the leaf work and the last low pass before the ground gives up its warmth. Ordinary work, and it makes an ordinary street look cared for.
