About Emerald Lawn Co.

There is an hour just after sunrise in Northside when dew still sits on everything and the grass looks lit from inside. Emerald Lawn Co. chases that green — mowing on a set rhythm, edging the walks, trimming what the mower cannot reach along the old stone retaining walls. Feeding, weed control and aeration hold color in a lawn through a sticky Ohio Valley summer, and overseeding puts back the thickness August took. The blocks running toward Clifton and College Hill are narrow and shaded, so every yard turns into its own small puzzle of light. Done right, a lawn keeps that early-morning look all the way to evening.
