About Cincinnati Mowing Company

From a park terrace in July you can see the east side laid out in green, hill behind hill of it, and every mown lawn between there and the horizon was somebody's whole afternoon. Cincinnati Mowing Company spends its summers inside that view, with mowing, string trimming, edging and clipping cleanup on a weekly turn. The craft is plainer than people assume: sharp blades, the right cutting height, and stripes laid in one direction until the yard takes on a grain. Midsummer here is heavy, humid work, and the finished lawn is what makes it worth doing twice. Little else looks quite so much like a good week as fresh lines standing in the grass.
