About Cafferky Landscaping

Hyde Park Square wears fresh snow well, the little green softened, the brick walks blank, the shopfronts along Erie Avenue lit early against a gray sky. Getting a morning started there means the walks and drives have to open first, and that is the work Cafferky Landscaping does: plowing, hand-shoveling, salting and de-icing. Cincinnati snow often falls heavy and wet, the kind that packs into rutted ice under tires if it is not moved quickly. Moving it quickly, over and over across the length of a storm, is what the job honestly consists of. The pleasure in it is one clean square of dark pavement while everything around it is still white.
