Buckeye Greens

About Buckeye Greens

In the city's hill parks the ground rolls down toward the water and the buckeyes let go of their leaves early, ahead of the maples, as though eager to get it over with. Buckeye Greens keeps Cincinnati lawns green on both sides of that turn, with mowing, trimming, edging, turf feeding and the fall cleanups that follow. Ohio grass gets two good stretches here, the cool wet spring and the long amber run of October, with a hard humid middle to survive in between. Working with that calendar instead of against it is most of the job. The result is a yard still holding its color while the park across town has gone entirely gold.
