Vergil's Lawn & Landscaping

About Vergil's Lawn & Landscaping

The old Wabash and Erie Canal came through this part of Paulding County long ago, and its trace still runs in the low ground near the Maumee, soft under grass. Vergil's Lawn & Landscaping works the yards along those flats in October, when the maples on the road turn and the leaves start arriving faster than anyone can rake them. Mowing and trimming give way to leaf cleanup, and a lawn goes into the cold months combed clear instead of buried. Come spring the same properties get cut back to green and edged sharp again, and the year begins over. Between the ditches and the fencerows there is a lot of grass to keep, and keeping it is the pleasure of it.
