About Whitmer’s Lawncare and Landscape LLC

Spring comes to Canton in a hurry once it makes up its mind: one week the maples stand bare over Meyers Lake, the next the whole west side is green and growing an inch a night. Whitmer's Lawncare and Landscape LLC meets that turn with rakes and blowers first — winter's litter off the beds, matted leaves pulled from the corners, the lawn opened back up to light. Then the mowing begins, and it doesn't let up until the maples let go again in October. Out toward Hills and Dales the yards run wide and shaded, and ground like that asks for patience: a line held straight across a slope, a bed edged clean so the mulch has somewhere to sit. It is ordinary work done attentively, and the result shows up every time somebody pulls into the driveway.
