About Johnny O's Landscaping

Fulton Drive rolls out of Canton toward Jackson in a series of small hills, and every one of them becomes a decision once there is an inch of packed snow on it. Johnny O's Landscaping runs those nights: driveways plowed, entrances and walks opened, salt and ice melt down on the grades and shaded corners where the sun never gets a chance. A one-o'clock alarm and a windshield full of falling white is not most people's idea of a good night, and it is a fine one anyway. Around the shopping strips the lots have to be bare and banked back before the first delivery truck swings in. Come daylight nobody thinks about the snow at all, and that is the honest measure of the job.
