Heritage Lawn Care

About Heritage Lawn Care

Brown Township's roads were laid on the old survey grid, so they run straight to the horizon and turn at right angles, and the lawns along them belong to farmhouses, church lots and quiet township corners. Heritage Lawn Care mows that country in long deliberate passes, working around the maple in the side yard and the iron fence at the churchyard the way those places deserve. Trimming is done close at the foundation, the posts and the headstone corners; clippings are blown off the walk so the concrete comes back white. Midsummer heat can put a lawn to sleep for a week, and it is worth raising the deck rather than scalping ground that is already thirsty. A place kept this way looks looked-after from the road, which out here is the point.
