Enviroscapes

About Enviroscapes

Some nights the snow rides in off Lake Erie and simply does not quit, and by four in the morning the lots along Route 224 are one smooth unmarked field. Enviroscapes is out in those hours, plowing the wide surfaces first and then working the tight corners, curb lines and drive aprons no blade reaches on the first pass. Walks and entryways get shoveled by hand, with salt and de-icer spread where foot traffic would otherwise pack it into glass. There is something to savor in the last lap of a long night — a lot swept clean under the lamps, piles stacked out of the way, everything set for a valley full of people who have to get somewhere. Mahoning County winter is serious, and so is the plowing.
