About Derf's Turf Lawncare and Landscaping

July out here is heat shimmer over corn and a thunderhead building somewhere west, taking its time about arriving. Derf's Turf Lawncare and Landscaping works between those storms, cutting a little higher when the ground goes dry so the turf keeps its color, trimming close around the porch and the propane tank, edging the walk so it shows. Spring opens with a cleanup and fall closes with leaves off the lawn before the ground turns soggy. The mowing itself is the pleasure — long straight passes on level township ground, the lines reading clear from the road to the fencerow. Everything in Blanchard Township runs in straight lines; a lawn may as well match.
