About Honest Abe's Services

Snow does not arrive politely on a township road. It comes sideways across the open ground up top, fills the cut where the lane drops into the hollow, and by two in the morning a driveway can be a wall. Honest Abe's Services goes out into that — plowing drives, shoveling steps and walks down to a surface a person can trust, putting down salt where the ice sets up hard. Come the warm half of the year the same properties get mowed, trimmed and edged, and the ground that held snow in January is a clean green rectangle by June. There is a certain honesty in both jobs: the result is visible from the road and there is nowhere to hide a shortcut. So the work gets done properly, whatever hour the weather picks.
