212 Mowing

About 212 Mowing

The highest ground in Ohio is a low green rise on the edge of Bellefontaine, and everything in Logan County slopes away from it. 212 Mowing cuts grass up here where the summer air moves a little cooler and a little faster than it does out on the flat country below. July is the test — long days, hard sun, and storms that come over the hills in the late afternoon and add another half inch of growth by Thursday. The work is the weekly cut kept honest: mowing height set for the heat, trimming close along fences and foundations, borders opened along the walks, clippings cleared off the concrete. A simple standard, held to on the highest lawns in the state.
