About Creative Lawn Design

On summer evenings the prairie at Bath Nature Preserve fills up with fireflies, and the yards along the township's back roads go soft and gold at the very same hour. Creative Lawn Design tries to leave a lawn looking like that at the end of a visit — mown to an even nap, edges cut clean along walks and beds, everything swept back onto grass. Bath lots are large and irregular, half sun and half hardwood shade, so the mowing pattern gets planned rather than repeated out of habit. The trimmer goes around every obstacle a wooded township can offer: boulders, well heads, split trunks, mailbox posts. The best part is the walk back to the truck, glancing over a shoulder at stripes running true across an acre.
