About A & L Lawn Care

Winter reaches Austintown township from the northwest, off the lake, in long gray bands that hang over the low ground around Meander Creek and keep coming after the rest of Ohio has cleared. A & L Lawn Care keeps the hours that kind of weather demands — headlights swinging across a driveway at four in the morning, the blade finding pavement, salt laid along the walk before anyone in the house has reached for a coat. There is a plain satisfaction in a drive opened clean all the way to the street, blacktop showing dark between banks stacked neatly at the edges. Snow removal is the whole of the work here, and it gets measured by one thing: whether the car backs out at six without a second thought. By the time the plow lights turn the corner, the township is waking to a morning somebody already made easier.
