Koby's Cleanup

About Koby's Cleanup

Ashtabula County holds its snow longer than most of Ohio, so spring in Austinburg shows up in patches — bare ground on the south side of the house while a gray drift still leans behind the garage. Koby's Cleanup meets the yard right there, hauling out the sticks, the flattened leaf and the road grit the melt leaves behind, then setting a mowing schedule as soon as the turf will take one. Through summer it is cutting on a turn, edges run clean along the drive, string trimming around posts, mailboxes and the odd stump. Beds get mulched so the ground stops looking like it just came through something. Then autumn turns the township loose all at once and the cleanup work comes back around, which is a fine way for a year to be shaped.
