Saturday morning on Main Street in Amherst: awnings out, coffee going, somebody's dog tied to a bench. Two streets back, the lawns that make that picture work are getting their weekly pass — mown, trimmed along the fence posts, edged where concrete meets turf, blown clean. B&P works lawns in a town small enough that the same yards come around every seven days and you learn each one's quirks: the wet corner, the shady strip under the maple, the slope nobody likes to trim. Spring cleanups open the season, mowing carries it, and fall leaf work closes it out.
