About F.M.S Landscaping Inc.

The lake is a short run north of Amboy, and in winter it sends its weather down in bands — clear sky one minute, a whiteout across the windshield the next. F.M.S Landscaping Inc. plows through those squalls, clearing driveways and parking areas, opening walkways by hand where the drift packs in hard, and salting the places that glaze over between storms. Snow belt totals get counted in feet here, so a route is less a job than a rhythm carried through the night. There is a specific quiet at three in the morning when the plow light is the only color on the road. Then morning arrives, and everybody gets where they were going.
