Skelding Lawn Care

About Skelding Lawn Care

Alliance grew up where rail lines came together, and freight still moves through at odd hours, a long sound rolling out over sleeping streets. Skelding Lawn Care keeps its own odd hours in winter — out at two in the morning when a lake-effect band has swung down off Erie, plowing drives and shoveling walks so the first shift finds a clear path. The warm months run steadier: weekly mowing, string trimming along fences and posts, edges snapped straight beside the walk. A yard cut clean on a July evening has a stillness to it, the same hush the town gets after the last train has gone by. Alliance, Sebring, Louisville and the roads between them are all on the route.
