Lee's Lawn Maintenance

About Lee's Lawn Maintenance

Highland Square wakes early in June, porch lights still burning at seven and the brick walks already warm underfoot. The front yards here are small and stubborn, wedged between porch rails and sidewalk, and early summer makes them grow like they have something to prove. Lee's Lawn Maintenance works those Akron blocks with the mower line laid straight and the trimmer following it, so the edge beside the walk comes out clean enough to read from across the street. Clippings get swept off the concrete before the truck moves on. When autumn arrives the maples over these streets let go all at once, and the leaves are gathered up so the lawn meets the first frost looking tidy. Ordinary work, done carefully, on a hill above the Cuyahoga.
