The creeks that start in Yorkshire run north toward Cattaraugus Creek, and in October they carry the first leaves down with them. Judware Lawn Care is making the last mowings then, cutting low and clearing yards while the light still holds. Leaf removal is most of the job by the end of the month: raking, hauling, opening the beds and the lawn edges back up. Earlier in the year the same properties get the weekly cut, the trimming, the clean line along a drive. It is a full circle of small work on a piece of country that goes very quiet under snow.
