About Paramount Landscaping & Masonry Inc.

Four in the morning in February, and Getty Square is empty except for the streetlights and the old stone of Philipse Manor Hall going blue under falling snow. Paramount Landscaping & Masonry Inc. is out in it — plow down, driveways and lots opened up, walks and steps shoveled, salt laid where the shade never lets the ice go. In a city built on hills, a cleared drive is not a convenience; it decides whether the car reaches the street at all. The crew works the storm through and comes back for the drifting after the wind turns. By the time the first commuters are scraping windshields, the pavement is dark and gritted and ready.
