Tuscarora Creek runs low and clear through the Woodhull bottomland by June, and the flats beside it grow grass faster than anything up on the ridge. Hickory Island Landscaping works both ends of that, mowing the creek-side yards that stay green all summer and the hilltop lots that go dormant in a dry August. Trimming follows stone foundations and porch posts, edging keeps the gravel drives from creeping into the turf, and what the mower throws onto the stone gets swept back where it belongs.
