Mountain Top Tree Service

About Mountain Top Tree Service

Windham sits high enough that winter shows up a week early and leaves a week late, with the Batavia Kill running cold through town and the High Peak standing over all of it. Mountain Top Tree Service handles the trees that mountain weather picks on — the hemlock leaning off a bank, the sugar maple that carried too much ice, the ash that has to come out before it finds the roof on its own. A March storm up here is heavy, wet and strangely quiet, and the morning after is a driveway to open before anyone gets down to Route 23. Pruning in the off-season keeps the porch clear and lets light into a house that spends half the year in shadow. When the chipper shuts off, the yard is clean and the view runs straight up the mountain.
