About Mountain Tree Services

Ice-out on Champlain is the signal in Willsboro: the Boquet comes up loud through town, and every yard from the Point back to the highway shows what winter loosened. Mountain Tree Services goes down that list — the birch bent to the ground that never came back, the cedar rubbing an eave, the big maple that lost a leader over the driveway. Pruning near the river asks for care, because the banks are sandy and each cut changes what the wind can get at. Storm work here can mean a camp road blocked at the bottom of a hill with no way around, so the saws come out early and the road opens first. Afterward the dooryard is raked, the rounds are left where you asked for them, and spring gets the run of the place.
