By mid-October the oaks along the Saxon Woods side of White Plains let go all at once, and a lawn can disappear beneath them over a single weekend. Imperial Lawn spends that stretch pulling leaves off the turf so the grass can breathe its way into winter, and spends the rest of the year mowing, edging, string trimming and feeding the ground that makes the show possible. Overseeding goes down in the cool weeks when seed actually takes hold; mulch goes in whenever the beds need their line back. The spring cleanup finds whatever the melt left behind and carries it off. Grass here isn't complicated — it is only faithful, and it answers to whoever keeps showing up.
