An edge is where the care shows. Green Edge Landscaping of White Plains cuts them along the bluestone walks and driveway aprons of Rosedale until the line between lawn and stone reads as a decision rather than an accident, then mows, trims, feeds and mulches to match. Come December the edge just moves: plow banks squared off at the pavement, walkways cleared down to the slab, salt laid before the refreeze can take hold. November is leaf haul-off, and the April cleanup lets the grass start over from a clean sheet. The city is small enough that the crew passes its own work on a day off, which does a great deal to keep the standard where it is.
