About Wheeler's Lawn Care LLC

By late October the hills around Wheeler have gone rust and copper, and the light comes in low from the Mitchellsville side, pulling long shadows out of every fence line. Wheeler's Lawn Care LLC works the full green season in this town, from the first mow of a soaking spring to the last cleanup before the ground goes hard. Mowing is the backbone of it — a regular pass, an even height, corners cut close so nothing ragged is left behind. Up here a yard sits in the middle of a great deal of open country, so the tidy square of fresh-cut lawn shows from a long way off. The truck comes back down the hill at dusk with the day's work behind it looking exactly right.
