Oriskany Creek runs low through Westmoreland, and every April it lets you know it — bottomland soft underfoot, the lawns above it waking slowly. Newman Landscaping and Excavating, LLC starts the year there, with spring cleanups, beds cleared, and a first cut taken once the ground can carry a machine. Summer settles into mowing, trimming and edging on schedule; autumn hands over to leaves. Then the light goes early, the trucks change over, and it is plowing, shoveling and salting for the long central New York winter. Two very different seasons, one property, looked after end to end.
