February on Harlem Road is a long stretch of grey banks and narrowed lanes, and the difference between a stuck morning and an ordinary one is whether somebody came through in the dark. Plowing a West Seneca driveway right means pushing the pile where it won't come back, cutting the apron so the town's own plow doesn't seal it shut again, and leaving the walk to the door actually walkable. Six months on, the same properties want a different kind of attention — mowing, edging, keeping the yard trim while the light is long. Both halves are about the same thing: a place that stays usable no matter what's falling on it. That's the work, and it's good work.
