Every July, hot-air balloons lift over Wellsville in the early cool and drift out across the rooftops; from up there the village is mostly trees and mowed squares of green. METZ Remodeling & Landscaping tends a share of those squares — weekly mowing, string trimming around porches, posts and stone, and edging the long front walks of the older streets. High summer here can swing from soaked to dry inside a week, so cutting height gets adjusted rather than argued with. The work shows best in plain things: a strip of turf ending in a crisp line, a yard with nothing left lying in it. Cleanups in spring and fall keep the rest of the year easy.
