Harrienger's Contracting

About Harrienger's Contracting

Route 11 runs south out of Watertown toward Adams, and in February it can go from black pavement to white in twenty minutes. Harrienger's Contracting works the hours before the first commute — headlights, a blade down, driveways opened one after another while the plows are still busy on the state road. Walks get shoveled to their full width rather than a single narrow path, and salt goes where the melt-and-refreeze cycle likes to set up shop. When the sky finally clears, the properties look plowed on purpose instead of merely pushed at. Waking up to that is the entire point of the night.
