About L&J,s Mowing

On a July afternoon the breeze off Seneca Lake reaches Waterloo about the time the mowing gets going, and it makes all the difference. L&J,s Mowing does what the name says: cutting lawns on a steady schedule, trimming tight along walls and posts, edging the walks, and clearing the clippings before pulling away. Plain work done the same way every week is what keeps a lawn thick through the hot end of summer. Some lots here slope toward the river and dry out fast; others hold water for days after a storm. Reading which is which is most of the craft, and the rest is a straight line held to the end of the yard.
