About Valcik Contracting LLC

A nor'easter tends to find Waterford at night, filling Second Street and burying the canal towpath inside a single quiet hour. Valcik Contracting LLC works those hours, plowing snow, opening driveways and lots, and clearing walkways so the morning starts on solid footing. The village sits low where the Mohawk meets the Hudson, so the snow lands wet and heavy and the wind off the water packs it hard into the end of every drive. Clearing it is a matter of going back, and back again, until the storm finally quits. Daylight comes up on black pavement and square white banks, which is the entire point of the night.
