About Greens Keeper of Nassau, Inc.

Wantagh winters come in off the Great South Bay, wet and heavy, the kind of snow that falls at thirty-four degrees and turns to concrete by morning. Greens Keeper of Nassau works those nights — plowing driveways and lots, clearing walks and entrances, and treating the ice that forms when the salt air refreezes near dawn. On the south shore a storm can end as rain and still leave a mess behind it, so the answer is coming back more than once. There's a stillness to Wantagh before daybreak, the parkway empty the whole way toward Jones Beach, that makes the work almost pleasant. By the time the block wakes up, everything is open.
