About Green Meadows Enterprises

Out where the Wallkill flats open up, snow does not simply fall — it travels, driven across the stubble until it stacks against the mouth of a driveway in a long hard ridge. Green Meadows Enterprises reads that wind the way farmers do, and knows which places drift shut twice in one night. The plow goes in, the ridge comes down, the salt goes where the ice wants to form, and by breakfast the meadow road is a road again. There is something steadying about seeing black pavement reappear in a white field. Snow removal for Wallkill and the open country around it.
